So ... before I started writing this, I thought about what I should say. Of course, most folks say the three things above. They're cliche, but also somewhat true. Then again, if everyone says them, must I? How about a different approach? I'll tell you what you should expect with me. If you like it, you should give me a call or drop me an email and we can see about working together. If you don't like it, you're welcome to drop me a note & tell me what you don't like- I'll be happy to help you find someone who you might be more compatible with.

The Process

  • Getting to Know You
An initial meeting - by phone, email, in the office, or occasionally at a property you've asked to see.
Discussion points: Whom Agents Represent, your "vision" for a house, your goals, and your finances. If I don't already have a home buying questionnaire on file for you, I'm apt to ask for one. I'll also give you a pile of paperwork. This will include most of the documents you are likely to see later in the process. I like to provide this early on so you can look the documents over, read them, and obtain legal counsel if desired.
  • Prequalification
I strongly encourage all prospective buyers to obtain a Prequalification Letter from a lender very early in the buying process.
  • Showings: Round One
The first round of showings will preferably have between three and five homes in it. I will likely have located a couple based on your home buying questionnaire, and I'll show you properties that you may have located while driving around or viewing online listings.
  • Showings: Round ...
  • An Offer
Submitting an offer is the first formal step towards buying your new home. When you indicate you want to make an offer on a property, I will do several things: We will then put together your offer packet. This set of documents will be submitted to the seller, in hopes that she will see fit to sell you her house.

  • Counter Offers
