Contract Addendums
In Maryland, a residential real estate contract without any addendums is a thing of the past. Buyers and sellers should expect to see at a minimum a lead paint addendum. This document essentially addresses the legally required disclosures related to lead paint. It is also common to see inspection addendums (making the contract contingent on a home inspection) as well as contingencies related to a buyer's sale of his or her existing house. A buyer should inquire as to what addendums may be available that would apply to her or her specific situation.
